Fribourg & Treyer’s Special Brown Flake

I just discovered this tobacco, as always an day short and an dollar late. Is this still in production, is there a secret vault of it buried on Oak Island? I almost hate to ask because "YMMV" but is there anything out there close, granted the stuff i just tried was a couple years on it, but still. Wow. (again ymmv)

This is good stuff, only I've read the ingredients changed (per @JimInks )

The only tins I have are a few years old, so I'm not sure if the stuff you can currently buy is the same. Boswells has 26 tins left. Id be interested to know how it compares, although it seems like it's a sweeter blend now.

Like a lot of blends manufactured by Kohlhase, Kopp and Co., drops to the US market are not very frequent. In the last few years it’s been every 12 to 18 months. When it arrives, it sells out quickly

All my F&T Special Brown Flake is from 2012. It is a great tasting blend but it is a bitch to find. zEven back in 2012 it was tough to get. No idea why as Cut Virginia Plug was so much easier to get and it was a better blend for my tastes. F&T Vintage flake was also a tasty blend but a bitch to find.
I don't know why but Fribourg & Treyer Flakes were always a bitch to get and it makes no sense.

I don't seem to have trouble getting it every couple of months. It was just on smokingpipes at the end of May but they had a limit of 2 tins a day.
