It was only a matter of time until some guy sat his three-year-old twin daughters on the walrus's head, put his arm around its neck, and handed his camera to a bystander to take a pic... And everyone got smushed to a pulp. (If you think I'm exaggerating, check out what happens routinely with Yellowstone Park's Giant Fuzzy Cows). People have always been incredibly ignorant/stupid/naive when it comes to such things, and the Internet has put the urge into high gear.

Then, afterward, everyone would have blamed the government for NOT putting it down.

If all the smart folks knew what was happening, how did it get to that point?

Like most such things it wasn't a problem until it was.

Meaning social media "stardom" is exponential, so what was a truly small risk in the early days became huge virtually overnight. People who didn't know a walrus from a penguin started making that beach a destination just to be part of the Next Big Thing. And hunger for views foolishness was ramping up rapidly. Humans were humaning, in other words.

Nothing good was gonna come of it, guaranteed.

Well, they should also start taking down mountains that people fall off of and die while taking selfies!

Absolutely.

In fact, the mountains should be used to fill in the canyons, because people fall INTO those.

The Grand Canyon should be first. Made an example of, right? Teach the other holes and depressions that humans don't fool around... Publicly expose our stupidity and we'll show you who's boss, understand?

So people suck me lady claimed it chases het. Ok and it got too close to an idiot in a kayak which we are pretty sure was him getting two close to her, so clearly the cheapest and easiest thing is to kill her. Personally i thing he best thing would have been to euthanize all those mentioned above.

I'm in the mindset when it comes to water animals, it's their domain not ours.

If a 600 pound beast wants to jump up into my boat, it is free to do so, because she is 600 pounds and thrives in the ocean, and I do not.

She's the boss as far as I'm concerned!

The last thing I'd want to do is fuck around with a Walrus in their home.
