Hello from North Central WA State; dead center and 30 air miles below Canada. Long-time lurker and just now joined. Looks like a good group, glad to be here. Smoke a lot of MM's and my briars are sub-$100 pipes, running mostly non-aero English blends. Retired firefighter, wife of 36 years, and no children that I know of. Living the dream in the Pacific Northwest.
Have been trying out an organic blend of various conifers, mixed brush and some bunch grass for the last two weeks. Surrounded here by around 300,000 acres of wild land fires in Washington and southern Canada. I normally don’t inhale when I smoke, but seems there is no choice just now.
Any way, glad to be among you!

Welcome from Austin, TX. I lived in Portland for two years. My entire Washington state experience consists of a visit to the Clark County Fair. It was a great time and beautiful country.
I pray they get those flames in check.

Welcome from BC, I’ve been partaking in that same blend. It’s a little rough around the edges...

Welcome...you must be in the Okanogan? My wife is from Edmonds and we lived in the Seattle area for many years and then on the coast for a while. Sorry you have to smoke that blend!

Hi, from Western Washington! You just have to make the best of it with that particular blend. I just hung a piece of brisket outside and by the end of the day it was smoked and ready to go!
