I'm unsure if this is the forum to discuss my two FreeHands and one Wizard that appear to smoke poorly.
I have to work like mad to keep them going. I'm unclear if I'm packing them too loose or too tight. I don't think they're too tight. I test the draw and they seem to be quite free in the draw.

When they get to about half way down they seem to go OK, but the first half requires the attention of a neuro-surgeon. Whereas my Country Gentleman's sing along quite happily from start to finish.
And am also asking MMs if they'll gump up a Country Gentleman about the same size as a Wizard. I read a lot and a CG only lasts around 20-25 minutes. A larger on will be welcome.
Anyway, if you might advise me, I'd be most grateful.

Preparing your tobacco is paramount to getting a good smoke, if you are packing the pipe w/o a bit of drying time it will be reflected more so in a larger bowl and since you get a better smoke around midway through this could possibly be the issue, both my Freehand pipes smoke great from the beginning but I don't own a Wizard so I'm not familiar with its bowl capacity, cheers.
