One of our New Orleans Pipe Club members found this at a street fair this weekend but she can't find any information on it. It's a Frank's Bakelite.

Anyone have any information I can pass on to her?

S. M. Frank & Co. is still around today. It's the ultimate successor to KBB/Kaywoodie, WDC, and other storied brands. Off-hand I'd guess the pipe in your post dates from the first half of the 1920s.

Steve has a number of these in his collection and detailed on the Reborn Pipes blog. Here are two.

I have the recollection that some on Forums have found bakelite to be somewhat fragile. These would be collector pipes but not for smoking mostly, I think.
