I have been searching for a list of dealer codes sometimes stamped on Castello's. Yesterday I had high hopes of acquiring the "ultimate" list but today it turns out otherwise.
Dear Chris , I start to put circle around K in 1978/1980 so this pipe is produced about 1970 for your kind request of dealers list is impossible for privacy to have a complete one. Thank you for attention about my brand. Best regards F.C.
Pipa Castello however been first class as to answering any questions I have about my pipes. To me that means a lot.
I do know that the "So" code that is stamped on my recently acquired Vergin Dublin is from a shop in Monza, Italy near Milan. The shop is no longer in business. If anyone else has any dealer codes for Castello's I would love for you to post them please.

Congratulations and best wishes for more information. I love digging into a pipe mystery, several have crossed my path in the past few years and it is always very satisfying, to me, to find out a detail of an older estate pipe.

Oh just curiosity. I would like to know what shops a pipe came from so I can have a little bit of knowledge of its history. No it won't make them smoke any better, but it does interest me to learn a little of a pipes past. I am not sure why it is classified info.

Lol Roth  , Yea I knew the encircling of the K's started in the 1970's so that wasn't a surprise. It would be nice if they had date codes on all of their pipes but I suppose that wasn't important to them. The smooth ones have the date codes in the Castello Castle but for some reason they never put them on the rusticated pipes and those are the ones I prefer. Oh well, my new ones smoke just as great as the oldies I have so it's not a huge deal. I just like to have as much knowledge of the favorite pipes in my collection as I can.
