So, I've just made a move to Sao Paulo, Brazil and I am in desperate need of a good pipe or three and some quality tabac. Don't ask what I did with my previous collection of pipes, it is still a lingering shame that wafts around me like the dank smell of a spent cigarette.

Problem is, in Sao Paulo (where you are told you can get anything in the world), you can almost get nothing due to the size of this beast and the, erm, conditions. It's a lovely, lively city, but difficult.

Anyone ever hear of a good blend of tobacco from Brazil or spend any time in Sao Paulo? If so, I'd sure like to have a chat and learn how you've managed. I'm trying to avoid the online stores here in Brasil so that I can head on over to the tobacconist and get the full sensory experience when choosing blends and pipes. And if not Brasil, have you ever been in a foreign land, wondering "Where in the hell are all of the pipes?" It's a desperate feeling, but I'm optimistic that Sao Paulo will eventually pull through and reveal a store that offers the delights only a pipe smoker can appreciate.

Happy puffing!

Welcome Greg,

We have a few members living in Sao Paulo, I am hopeful that they will see this thread and post up some recommendations.

Supposedly, there is a Davidoff store in Sao Paulo. Not sure if they carry pipes there or not...I couldn't find a website.
This website, http://www.tabacarianacional.com.br/index.htm, I found with the help of google maps and babelfish translator. Looks promising!
