To my great dismay I have to spend four days in Vegas in January. (I know lot's of guys love the town; I loathe it. Love the desert but hate Vegas. Such is life; big trade show there I have to attend.)
From the pipe-smoker's perspective, what's "not to be missed" in Vegas? Any great shops? Smoking lounges?

Casa Fuente Cigars inside The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. (It's not the real Caesars Palace. Caesar didn't live there.)
Cirque du Soleil shows are always awesome.
My favorites -
Love (The Beatles tribute)

Zumanity (very sexy, best with a date.)

Mystère - trippy

O - the entire show takes place in the water

Not any real "pipe" places; but you can pretty much smoke ANYWHERE in the casinos.
If you're not a gambler, I recommend going to the Sports Book area of a casino. They usually have big leather chairs and huge screens showing every sports game you can think of. Go there and make a small bet on a game ($10 or $20) and they'll give you coupons for free drinks. Have a seat, pick a game you're interested in, light up your pipe and enjoy your complimentary beverage(s).

Thanks Kevin.
Bigvan, that's a nifty idea. If I have some time to kill that sounds like a great plan.

Star Trek at the Hilton is way cool even if you are not a trekky . The virtual race cars at the Sahara , The car museum at the Imperial Palace , The girls at the Crazy Horse on Industrial ,The prime rib at Jerrys Nugget is the best in the whole world . The pool at the Hard Rock . Drive by Elvis House two blocks west of the strip off Charleston make a right .Ripleys downtown , The stupid pawn shop just to say youve been there , about 3 or 4 blocks south of downtown on the strip . The Yesco sign yard as seen in many movies .The Howard Hughes house in red rocks ,bonnie springs . I lived in Vegas for twenty years and have no interest of ever going back but have fun . If you have a car go north to the Valley of Fire where they do a ton of car commercials .The Hoover damn tour and the most expensive bridge and visitors center ever built . If you can escape run to Death Valley and stand in the lowest spot in the nation on the salt flat . For your safety stay the heck away from Bob Stupaks tower after dark . Sadly the old casinos are all gone now , replaced with corporrate tourist traps .Oh and do not eat buffet there are two many good places to eat . That should cover it . Wait they did not build Vegas out of winners .

The virtual race cars at the Sahara
The Sahara is no more. Closed for good.
Just do not gamble. I am a firm believer that they should just start kicking people in the balls and take all there money just to give you something physical.
Vegas was built by losers.
