I have some flitz, and wanted to know some thoughts on it, for cleaning acrylic stems with?

I have used it on black vulcanite/ebonite stems, to clean away oxidation and small/fine scratches, and noticed no ill effects.

So I wanted to know if it is also good to use on acrylic stems?

I have an acrylic stem that looks dull in a few spots, and hoped I could polish it with flitz, to take away the dullness.

Thanks

I’ve wondered about Flitz for stems. I’ve used a medium cut rubbing compound to remove light oxidation then polished it back out with a finishing compound and a micro fiber cloth. I skip the first step with acrylic stems. They seem fine to me.

I have been using it for everything, I believe I did buy it because I read others used it, but I forgot.

But, with new Radice I bought, I really wanted to make sure.

Thanks everyone! 🙏

This is from Flitz's FAQ page: (the highlighting is mine)

What types of surfaces can I use Flitz on?
The list is endless. Flitz is non-toxic, non-acidic, and non-abrasive, which makes it very safe to use as a strong, effective cleaner on just about any solid surface. This includes all metals, from your best gold and silver to the aluminum and chrome on your car or motorcycle. Other solid surfaces include Fiberglass, Acrylic, Tile, Marble, Granite, Ceramic, Corian, Plexiglas, Eisenglass, and smooth vinyl. Flitz is also great on hard laminates like Formica.
