I've noticed over the past few months that the plastic lids on the 2 oz cans from Cornell & Diehl do not fit right. You really have to work them to get a tight seal. Have other companies had this issue? Its almost like they ordered metric tops for US standard cans.

I've bought 6 C&D blends in the past 3 months and all have the same issue and the owner of the local B&M mentioned it to me the other day. Need to monitor the moisture level on these carefully since they tend to come packaged fairly dry to begin with.

I guess this has not been an issue for me as I mason jar any tobacco that comes in a tin as soon as the tin is opened.... :)

Hilojohnny has the right idea, and that's what I do all the time.
But if you can't go the Mason jar route, just run a bead of wax around the tin's rim, place some aluminum foil on it, and force the plastic lid back over the whole thing. Works great.
I suppose any wax, such as candle wax will do, but I have used bee's wax, available wherever sewing supplies are sold, or even, I think, Ace Hardware stores. The wax used in home canning would probably be good too, but if you're in that section of the store, why not try the Mason jars?

This issue has gone on for years with C&D. For a long time, guys

complained that the blends were too wet... Go figure.
