This fine establishment was a treat. And I came away with two 'match' blends that I really like. Their Nightcap match is really an enjoyable and cool-smoking English-style blend. And their Early Morning Match tasted better to me than the Early Morning Pipe I also purchased. I'm following up to see if these two house blends are free of casing sauces, humectants and preservatives. I sure hope so. They're awfully good smokes. I know a lot of smokers don't care so much about these additives though, so I thought I'd pass along the info even before I learn about the purity. I wasn't able to get definite answers from the young gal in the store, but am hoping for an answer to the email I sent. They also have an online store which is:

And it was most cool to be able to smoke inside the store. It's not only okay, they encourage it!

Thanks for heads-up Rick. It seems like everybody has good things to say about Rich's.

I am surprised though. I'd have thought a grizzled old codger would be close at hand to

field questions and make recommendations.

Thanks Rich, I do get up there. I think I visited

the place last summer and was impressed. I want

to get a copy of the John Cotton 1&2. I do not

like the humidity additives at all so keep us

informed on what you find out.

I love Rich's. I go there whenever I have a few spare bucks to spend on tobacco. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Which young gal was it? There's one who looks somewhat "alternative," I suppose, and another who looks more "mainstream," to put a word on it.

Just out of curiosity, of course.
