Wanted one for a long time but finally decided to get one. Love it!

I’ve had a long running love/hate relationship with Petes because on one hand they appealed to me but I’ve had a few fantastic pipes and a few with inexcusable quality issues (horrible stem work, poor drilling, etc.)

Others have been absolutely fantastic pipes that smoked very very well and let’s be honest, just had that Peterson style that is so classic.

Further, I hate the p-lip. Tried to like it, but … nope, not my thing.

Couldn’t help myself, had to buy a last pipe from Dave Neeb before he closed up shop. An xl315 sandblasted calabash that just screamed Peterson to me, and had a fishtail stem. I was considering a Deluxe but couldn’t turn this one down.

Really pleased with how it smokes and I think I’m sold on system pipes! The military mount makes it simple to clean and the well does seem to provide a dry smoke.

The chamber is huge! You could bathe a Rottweiler in it when you’re not smoking it, lol.

Glad I bought one finally!
