I've just moved. As such, I've been quite busy, and have only today had a good chance to sit and and really light up. So I chopped out a bowlful of jackknife plug, chunked it into my Kaywoodie Standard 13, and by god it was like rediscovering pipe smoking, except with all the skill of a 2-year veteran. Have any of you ever had to stop smoking for a week or so and, upon lighting up again, just be blown away by how damn fine it is?

It isn't as if every bowl isn't a delight to me, but...the saying absence makes the heart grow fonder, I assume we all know it well. I believe it entirely.

Lol nope, it was 11 miles. There was just a lot more stuff than I realized. Filled a uhaul trailer twice, and then my Dakota at least 5 times. But me oh my, it was all worth it for how good a smoke that was. Course, I'm now flat on my back after about half a bowl lol. Been a while since a baccy knocked me down!

I hate moving but like pipe smoken, now I bet You get to try to find every thing. One good thing about moving is all the stuff You get rid of ,and all the stuff You find that was lost.

Glad to hear you survived the move.

Now make sure you lose a tin or two of tobacco, so you can find it after your next move. :D
I think your experience with lighting up tonight is why I smoke 1Q.

It resets the palate for when I'm in the mood for something a bit more exotic.

Actually I did have that. Battled a bad case of gingivitis and had to put the briar down for three weeks or so until it cleared up. The first pipe I had after it cleared up was heavenly.
