An estate pipe, this one was pre-smoked, but certainly not very often. The system reservoir was spotless and the bowl had hardly much indication of use. The original stinger is pristine. I purchased it from one of our sponsoring vendors, and their description was spot on. The only flaws - if you really want to call them that - are a few light scratches on the rim and bowl. The marks are so minor that I cannot get them to show in my photos. The second photo is mid-smoke of my first bowl of London Mixture.
This is my first pipe of this vintage. It is qualitatively different from all my new pipes. It is...amazing. What more can I say?

I have a few a Peterson Deluxes and agree they are in a class of their own. Mighty fine smokers and works of art all in one. Your pipe is gorgeous to behold; I love that grain.

Back in 84 I could have...should have bought some Pete Deluxe pipes..of all the sad words of tongue and pen... But look at the beautiful Birdseye on that pipe. Lucky, lucky man.

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen. The photos on the vendor's site did not do the pipe justice.
And it smokes well for what is basically a new pipe. Give it 30 bowls and it should be superb.
