I received a package from p&c.com. And I’ve since been able to sample the blends. I sampled Antietam by Brigadier Black to trial as my daily blend. I enjoyed it and think it will be my go-to all day smoke for now. I tried 2 of Russ’ blends, tastykake and pirates cove. Pirates cove was nice, kind of underwhelming. Tastykake was very interesting and I’m glad I tried it. But I probably won’t buy it again, just not my pace. It did not stay lit or smoke very well, I found it prone to over packing. My grand finale was Ole Shenandoah Appalachian Harvest, and boy is it a delightful smoke! I love this tobacco! It is slightly sweet with pleasant notes of fruits and berries with a creamy finish. It felt as if I was plucking wild berries from an overgrown orchard and enjoying a glass of fresh buttermilk. It took me back to springtime in Vermont, which coincidentally is much like spring in the Shenandoah valley.
The rest of the Ole Shenandoah line is partially on backorder so I will acquiring what is currently in stock and continue to search for The Berry, No 76, and Bootlegged. If anybody can point me in the right direction I’d love to procure the entire line.?
