First Pipe/Stand Ebay Acquisition... How'd I Do?

So I won my first pipes/pipe stand on Ebay today! He had this lot of 8 pipes and stand for $39.99 or best offer. I offered him $25 and he accepted. I just finished my payment, and with shipping, it came out to be $35.99.

I mainly wanted it for the stand, as I do not have one and it also has a space for my tampers, some tobacco, etc. So if any of the pipes are smokeable (I know one is cracked bad, but the others look decent), then that is just a plus to me!
What do you guys think?

Yeah, I was really surprised this one wasn't grabbed up before I got it. I will definitely make sure I keep a lookout for these "Buy It Now or Best Offer" listings. I think people miss them because they are not listed near the top due to the fact that their end date is so far away.

Heck, all I've been doing is searching for "tobacco pipe lot" and searching through to find the ones that are at a low price that seem to have some potential and I watch them. If they don't get to be what I consider too high, I may consider a bid.
To me, $35.99 for 8 pipes and a pipe stand/humidor is well worth it. That's less than $5 per included piece (not including the extra bowls)! I know nothing about the value of pipes, especially estate or vintage pipes, but I know $5 a piece has got to be decent!

I'm not really sure what all I have. Haha. There wasn't much of a description. Basically just said they got the stuff in an estate sale. Their loss is my gain, huh?

The meer bowl appears to have a hole in the bottom. The Kirsten bowls attach that way,with a screw type fitting. The Falcon and Viking bowls screw on.The other metal pipe -Filto maybe- has a screw fitting in the bottom like the Kirsten I believe.

You might want to research that Kirsten some. When they get gunked up they can be a bear to get apart to clean,but are easy to clean if maintained. If you own a set of pliers--leave them in the garage!

You overpaid for the rack and tobacco storage but you scored big time on the pipes and extra bowls.
You got lucky, pally. But next time, ask questions first. I've noticed that folks don't bird dog eBay finds here and that's good for you. So take advantage of the knowledge bank.

Clean up those pipes and you can resell them for more than what you paid. Keep the ones you like, resell the rest, that was a very good buy, I am suprized no one tried walking away with it off the buy it now price, especially with that meerschaum pipe in there.

Fnord, I strongly doubt I would have paid that if it was just the stand. That was what caught my eye, but I figured whatever the stand lacked in value, the pipes would make up for.
