First Balkan

Went to a B&M on my way to an appt and they had this wonderful smelling jar of #30/Balkan. The shop keeper said it is a McClellen blend and I am assuming it is #1030 Balkan. Anyhow, I was blown away by the taste of this baccy. Being my first Balkan I wasn't sure what to expect but the jar note had some very familiar smells within the new to me aromas. I have around 26 blends in the house ready to smoke and only two of these are aroes so I am not sure why it took me so long to run accross a Balkan, but man I sure am glad I did!

IDK, I don't post very often but wanted to share this new experience with you guys.

My first Balkan was Larry's Blend. I'm now on a mini quest to try all the balkans first lol.

Mine was Magnum Opus. I liked it so much I wrote a review on it! Been a fan of Balkans ever since. I didn't even know what a Balkan was when I tried it.
HERE is the review. Even though I was pretty green when I wrote it, I still consider it accurate.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Balkans. I guess my first Balkan must have been Balkan Sobranie Original (white tin), back in the early 1970s. My current fave might be SG Balkan Flake. ::

My first Balkan was H&H Blackhouse and I'm hooked. I just freaked out and ordered an 8oz can when my jar went below a quarter. I actually think the stuff has medicinal properties. :idea:

Aaaah yes. Black House MY OTHER REVIEW. I believe it was this one (at the top) that got Jason hooked.
Yes I really can taste that stuff. I wasn't even going to do a review on Black House. Now I'm famous for liking it.

My 1st Balkan would be Erinmore Balkan which remain sealed for the perfect moments :crazy: not sure what to expect from Balkan blend buti hope it's worth to wait :puffpipe:

Oh I am a huge fan of the dark side...Engine 99, Pirate Kake, and Proper English, to name a few, are regulars in my rotation.

It sounds as though I need to try Black House and will be ordering a tin of it when I put together my next list.
