So after placing an order at my B&M in December, my calabash came in today. I wanna give a shout out to the guys at smokers haven here in Lubbock. There were problems galore getting ahold of these and at one point the distributor told them they wouldn't be sending them at all, but my guys worked hard to make the deal go through, and then comedicly, the order ended up in Utah instead of Texas and getting it back here was a chore too. As far as local places go I'll never shop anywhere else and I encourage anyone visiting my fair city to stop in and say hi! I'll be the guy stuffing his face with brisket...
PS: according to the tracking number my first of two Eric Paulsons will be here tmrw. I'll post pictures of that too.

After that comes in I'm afraid I'll be dry for PAD money till next Christmas.... Probably not. I'm sure I'll find away. Still have some of that money from selling my truck. Is there a rehab program for guys like us?! Or at least a group home for when the wives kick us out?!

A calabash is on my wish list. That's a pretty pipe that I'm sure you're glad the journey to receive is over.

Congrats - that is a beauty! Sounds like you've got a great B&M.
p.s. I like the looks of the lighter that is in the photo, how do you like it?

@six - its a xicar scribe. I LOVE it. Great lighter. It's solidly built, but if anything goes wrong they come with a full replacement warranty. But, seriously, this thing is almost indestructible!

@andy if your that ambitious to own a calabash I have an ancient one for sale in the for sale section of the forum. I'll chuck it in my suit case and bring it over for you as a trade for a couple of Martini's! :D

Thanks Lou - great to know. It's a very cool looking lighter I have to say.

I refurbed a gourd calabash for my father (a friend of his gave it to him). I never smoked one, so when I was done I thought "WHAT THE HELL", and smoked it...what a fabulous dry, cool smoke! I hope you have great luck with it.
