Finally got an ascorti !!

i've always been a huge fan and i finally got one and here it is, an old gold logo from the early years. its much more impressive in person

My first Ascorti was a very early freehand made by Pepino Ascorti, wonderful smoke but over the years pipe tools had dug a 1/4 inch depression under the draw hole , mixed some fireplace mortar repair, raised the btm even with draw and Viola what a smoker, you have a beautiful pipe, I think the older ones have more character even though they all are good smokers, love your pipe The old cajun

It is very light indeed roth and from my understanding they only did the gold "A" in the first few years of production

Slow:
Call it a Cutty, a Zulu or a canted Dublin - it just doesn't matter. That's a beauty pipe and I hope it smokes you to sleep.
BTW, that stem, for an 80's pipe, tears the ass off of the the 20's Art Deco look.
