Yesterday I stuck my foot in my mouth with my pipe discussions post and I've been feeling bad about it all day..I in no way intended to imply that anyone should leave this site.If you took me to mean that I apologize for leaving that impression. All I ment to say is that there is much more information about pipe and cigar smoking available now than when I first came online years ago.In the future I will try to be more clear about what I want to say in my posts. My opinion of this site is as follows..It is the best such site on the web..It is my favorite site on the web..It is my first and last stop on the web each day.I thank Kevin, the moderators, and all of you for making that so.

Well said puffy, I am amazed that something so simple as pipes and tobaccos can raise tempers when it has the complete opposite effect on me.

This one beats all for as far as I have looked around. And as an IT guy I'm pretty tech savvy.. have my own blog, twitter, guest writer on another blog, etc... But nothing to do with pipes. Too newbie for writing anything sensible on that stuff

Yeah, I know what thread you're referring too. It doesn't come off that way at all, don't worry about it.

Puffy, I read it again and I didn't get that at all. Your thoughts were just as you said in this post, at least that is what I perceived from it. I wouldn't worry.

I saw no need for apology. Puffy, your posts for me are the voice of experience and reason.
But I know how you feel. A few times I have attempted to make a jest, then had to wonder if it would be perceived in the the manner intended. I think they usually are, but before I see the responses, I feel kind of stupid.

I haven't read your post, but I'm sure the going consensus is correct.
I've had some concerns that what I've posted went over badly too, so you're not the only one.
It is surprisingly easy to misinterpret the typed word, at times.
The fact that you care enough to let folks know what you really meant, speaks a lot about your character in my book, so thanks.

Well, puffy, I just read it and have no idea where you got the idea that you even said that. Anyway, for those who feel like the only one who isn't "in the know", this is a perfect opportunity for me to help! Whenever you want to see a recent post a member has in a thread, just click on their name underneath their avatar/picture. This will take you to their forum profile (not to be confused with their site profile), which has all of the recent posts they've made plus any of the threads they started. Enjoy!
