I do not have a link, but Ron Peccorini who runs the Chicago Pipe Show just posted on Instagram that the new administration just withdrew the proposed FDA rule regarding flavored premium cigars. Maybe someone has more information.
Make America Grape Again! They no longer have the ability to make regulations. New President, new rules. One of his first day actions. I believe it's a general 90 day prohibition at this time. Gotta pay attention.

Interestingly, Swisher may have played a significant role in thisAre Swisher Sweets safe, then?
Lord, I hope not!Are Swisher Sweets safe, then?
From the halfwheel.com article linked above:
"A year ago, Susie Wiles, a longtime Trump confidant, was lobbying for Swisher. Now, she is the White House Chief of Staff. Disclosure forms say that Swisher paid Mercury Public Affairs, LLC, a lobbying firm, $30,000 for Wiles to lobby Congress on FDA regulations. While President Donald Trump is known for his aversion to alcohol and tobacco, Wiles is one of the most powerful people in Washington, D.C. It’s unclear how much Wiles influenced this decision, but Trump’s first administration included the passage of Tobacco 21, a landmark anti-tobacco law."
Speaking of menthol, did you ever smoke a Kool non filter? When I smoked years ago I just had to try a pack. Just one pack was enough for me and I didn't regularly smoke menthols, wow, what a blast of refreshing coolness!!! They were hard to find here, I asked around and found out they were available in the inner city stores. I'm sure they don't even make them any more, size wise, looked just like a pack of Camels.I was really pissed off about the menthol cigarettes. I'm a long time menthol smoker and this one was gonna hit hard.
It wouldn't have been so easy to switch over to regulars. Gotta have that refreshing cool blast to the throat.
God protected me again, and I am grateful.

Same, was considering if that spray stuff is any good or real, I thought I read about, some kind of spray that you can put on a regular cigarette to make it "mentholated", or something. Also was considering buying bulk of those breath strips if maybe that would work. Obviously neither option would be the same.I was really pissed off about the menthol cigarettes. I'm a long time menthol smoker and this one was gonna hit hard.

Kools and Camels are both produced by RJ Reynolds. I smoked Kool XLs in my early 20's, then switched to Camel Wides (menthol) not long after. Camels > Kools, the Kools are a little more "minty" of a menthol than the Camels. Camel Wides are way smoother than the regular Camels. Prior to either of those, I was making my own using Premier menthol tubes and McClintock menthol tobacco.Speaking of menthol, did you ever smoke a Kool non filter? My dad smokes Newport and he said he'd just switch to Reds or Camels and get some of those flavoring cards off Amazon. Gotta love how the people pushing it insisted they'd be protecting minorities, do they think only white people smoked cigarettes before menthol ones came out?I was really pissed off about the menthol cigarettes. Sales figures show a strong preference, the whole reason the companies started marketing menthol brands to black audiences so heavily was because they found sales were strongest with black customers while white customers were flocking to Marlboro and Winston. Before the 50s there was no racial division in brand preference. Anecdotally I'm Latino and all the cigarette smokers in my family smoke menthols.I wonder if there is even any accuracy to the stereotype that menthols are predominantly smoked by black people or if black people predominantly choose menthols.
Of the black people that I have known that smoked, just as many smoked non-menthols as menthol, same goes for the white people. Same also goes for if you want to split the demographics along socio-economic lines rather than racial ones.
Not to bend the rules, but I have found that almost all divisions are socio-economic and not racial, unless one or the other party has been directly indoctrinated into hate.I wonder if there is even any accuracy to the stereotype that menthols are predominantly smoked by black people or if black people predominantly choose menthols.

I don't think racism has anything to do with it. I think it's an observation.I believe it's a regional thing.
Everybody I grew up with, white or black, smoked menthols
