Good morning!

Hoping folks will share their preferred online sources for cigars and experiences weather selection or customer service and so on.

Thanks!

Small Batch Cigar. Use "KATMAN" for 10% off any purchases. Fast shipping and fantastic selection. Also sign up for their emailing list. Yes, it is one email per day, but they have great sales and almost everything comes up for 15-25% off (and more) sooner or later. I have great luck finding a lot of boutique blends here. They offer reward points for each purchase, too.

Cigarpage often has great pricing, but lots of garbage cigars to wade through to find the good stuff, which is often out of stock. They also offer rewards points for each purchase.

I used to haunt Cigarauctioneer, but their selection has been abysmal for a couple years, now.

Beyond that, I just use web searches if there is something specific I am looking for, hone in on the best price, and if a site looks sketchy, another web search should be able to pull up general opinions about the business as a whole.

To flip the script, I'll add a couple places I would avoid like the plague:

Thompson Cigar - they sell your info to anybody and everybody. You will receive a glut of mail and email and telemarketing that is near impossible to stop. They also have a poor track record for customer service, their prices are on the high side, and I have read enough complaints over the years of mysterious charges and incomplete orders.

Cigars International/Cigarbid - never mind they are co-owned with Pipes and Cigars and nevermind their past in manufacturing and selling counterfeit Fuente Opus cigars circa 2008-2011 - their cigars typically are overhumidified or underhumidified, packaging is abysmal, and customer service is non-existent.

Happy hunting!

Lots of good ideas from you and others. I decided to give the code and Small Batch Cigar a try - it worked, so thanks! I tried some AF Hemmingway Short Story cigars last year and liked them a lot, so I bought a box and got a few of the Drew Estate coffee infused in a couple of different styles just to see what those are about because they've looked interesting to me.

There are many. Watch City has an enviable cigar inventory and Ernie knows his products. Smoking pipes is dead reliable as well, with people in house that can advise you on selection. The bigger places like JR are reliable too... never spoke with anyone there but over the years they deliver just fine if you know what you want. Used to buy from an outfit in Florida before cigar aficionado ruined everything and turned the business snooty. Mike's cigars...they used to and probably still do have some knowledgeable people. When I do make a purchase nowadays (which is rare because I don't smoke much or need as much) I try to keep my business to the shops I know... Watch City and Smoking Pipes.

I’m a big cigarbid.com guy as well as cigarpage.com. They both have insanely good deals if you’re patient. Selection is a bit limited, but that has never stopped me from getting fantastic stuff.

For example, just last night on cigarpage I got 5 Oliva Black Swan + 5 Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro with free shipping, everything out the door for $40. I’ve gotten even better deals from cigarbid, though they are harder to come by than they were a few years ago.

If I just have to get something really specific, I usually go to Famous Smoke Shop just because they have the Italian dry cigars I like and I throw in a couple 5 packs on most orders.

I prefer Atlantic Cigar Company and an obscure one called Should I Smoke This

Both have great customer service and fast shipping.
+1 to both of those. Atlantic has good deals. And I used to freaking love that dude’s 60 second cigar reviews. The Sanj Patel stuff he pushes hard is solid, but it’s all too pricey for my stingy self. I rarely ever pay more than $5 per cigar.

I’ll save the pics for a couple of weeks but the Small Batch Cigars order arrived and carefully packed and humidity packs as well and now stowed for a couple weeks or so before enjoying. Really appreciate all the suggestions and looking forward to exploring other suppliers and cigars, but these folks sure seem to do it right.

I buy 95% of all my cigars from Cigar Page and to parrot what others have already said, they do tend to run out of the good stuff fast. But if you're willing to put in a little work you can really come up.

First things first, you'll want to subscribe to their emails. They run multiple deals a day, everyday, and they typically expire from with a couple of days to a week or two. This option is great to requires very little effort.

But the real deals that only last for a few hours are on their discord and get shout out everyday. If you decide to go this route keep Notifications ON and remember you'll still want to be quick. Take advantage of their free shipping and pull the trigger when you find what you're looking for, chances are others are looking at it too. This is obviously requires the most work but can yield the best results.

But then again, hunting for deals is part of the fun for me as is keeping an inventory and smoking them.

FYI, I'm pretty sure Cigars International owns Thompson Cigar now.
