I always enjoy the "Father Tom" stories written by Steve Laug and posted on the Reborn Pipes blog. So, on the Brothers of Briar forum, when a minister with the screen name "Father Tom" posted an old briar of his that needed restoration, I couldn't resist offering to restore the pipe. Nice job. Talk about a well-loved pipe. This piper looks like he didn't have PAD. He had one or two pipes

and enjoyed smoking it/them, and didn't worry about the rest. You've set him up for another twenty years.

Nice job. I, too, see a few dings and dents in a pipe as character and testament to the fact that the pipe is well-loved and used often. I think you hit a good compromise. It looks great, but not new.
