First, thank you for this forum. You have already saved me decades of trial and error!
As a cigar smoker I am trying to broaden my horizons. I am starting w a couple of drug store cobs that I smoke 2-4 bowls a day through trying to chase the perfect smoke. Aromatics mostly and they have been very wet and brutal on my mouth. With forum help I am getting that ironed out and slowing down.
My question, with just two pipes I have been running a fan over them at night to dry them. Will this rapid drying of a pretty damp pipe hurt them? Granted they are cheap, but then so am I! Would rather not ruin them if I can help it! Any ideas are welcome!

Increased airflow will not hurt cobs. Just keep the propane torch away from them! Welcome aboard.

I'll "hang" a cob on the grate of a box fan in the basement if it looks to be getting too moist. Never had any issues doing so.

I have a fan on in my study with my pipes most of the time, not on the pipes but running, and I assume some air circulation is all to the good.

I stick them out in the sun....however I forgot them tonight....they got a little wet in the rain. Any airflow is good for a pipe, with cobs you don't have to worry about the finish so sun = good

Thanks for all the replies. I smoke during the day so the sunshine is usually limited between smokes. I will continue to use the fan as I am down to one pipe! Dang little ferrule has an uncanny ability to hide!
And I have a couple of aromatic samplers. But screwed up and bought an English sampler from boswells. I think I like Latakia!!
