Received this in a trade last year:
15.5 ounces of Newminster 400. I don’t know this tobacco, never tried it, but believe it came as a flake so I assume the original buyer has rubbed out the entire original package, or perhaps it was available as a ready-rub version.

Yes I believe you are correct.
I got this through a trade, the original purchaser apparently rubbed out the entire pound… it was his every day smoke.
He is, or was, a well known pipe maker and has given up smoking and making pipes entirely.
I have drastically reduced my own smoking so that is why I am offering it here.
