I wonder if there's an Irish influence here?

Haha as a kid I was always scared of santa. Some strange guy coming into my house and leaving stuff for me, that is just creepy!!
Took me awhile to figure out my dad was the creepy one!

In reference to the ongoing news this week on NPR about the Catholic Church and its proposed setlement on the Priest/molestation/sex crimes issue. It just won't go away for them.

How do we go from Saint Nickolas which is a German Saint who may have been a

maryter and was a seriose bishop of the church to Santa Claus who is the patron saint

of hedonistic capitalism?
