Has anyone else ever tried chewing your pipe tobacco? I'm thinking VA's and flakes, and burleys. (Surely no one has tried chewing a latakia blend, but who knows...)
For the record, I've tried some VA flakes and they were pretty tasty. Haven't chewed regularly since the 1990's, but those flaks just look so damned good. Also made me realize how sugary most chewing tobaccos are.

I used to make chewing tobacco out of straight burly tobacco, it was pretty good. I also have chewed Half and Half, not bad actually. I don't chew anymore, but some blends smell good enough to eat.

Nope never tried it and probably never will. Gives a whole new challenge to cleaning your pipes afterwards.

Have not tried it with pipe tobacco. I guess if I want to chew I will buy chew and save my pipe tobacco for the pipe. Red Man chew all the way!

Sounds like a punishment I'm going to put into a drinking game...
"Draw a 7 and you have to put this tobacco in your mouth until someone else draws a 7. Or take a shot of tequila."
Muahahaha.

I almost did Petersons Irish Flake once when I first tried it as the smell reminded me of a cross of the old skoal key and straight that I chewed in jr high

I've never chewed my pipe tobacco, but have used chewing tobacco for a worth-wild purpose. Some may find this disgusting and I'm sorry for that, butt.......

In the dessert, toilet paper was of a premium and in short supply. I ran across a 'geedunk' that had a short list of items. Aluminum coffee cups, instant coffee, cigarettes, Red Man chewing tobacco, fingernail clippers and wooden stirring sticks. Guess which of these items I bought a large supply of.... A good handful got the job done.

Yes. I think it depends on the tobacco. I think Macbaren VA#1 tastes rather like a less sweet, dry Red Man golden blend.

Never have chewed pipe tobacco. Never even ocurred to me to even try. I used to chew when I was younger, LOVED Lancaster the most although Levi Garret was good too.
I have read that Gawith Ropes are good for chewing though. I have a new tin of Brown #4 that I plan on cutting a small chunk off and trying out of curiosity.

My dad was telling my that my grandfather would smoke a cigar, and after it burnt down a good ways he'd bite off the rest of the good end and then chew that. I've never tried chewing any sort of tobacco however..
