These are both Juan Urquiza pipes, bought separately. I didn’t realize until today how nicely similar, yet different, they are.

I’ll be keeping them together, in a nice velvet-lined box. Maybe sprinkle some cognal over them, play an old Nat Cole album, keep the lights down low….who knows?

That's an awesome match pot! Never seen anything like it. How difficult is it to get a consistent strike? Do any matches work, or strike anywhere only?
I posted about these a few weeks back. They’re repro’s, made in Louisiana. They are silly expensive, but they have seconds for sale sometimes, and then they’re reasonable.

The match strike comes with a box of small strike-Anywhere matches, but they kind of suck. Usually takes 3 strokes. The larger Strike-Anywhere or higher quality small ones should work just fine.

These are all seconds.
They are usually around $85.
Of course, after seeing this thread, had to go and find out how much they are. eBay sell them for $14 + $10 shipping B - class.. But, there places selling A - class, assuming, for $35+. Will probably get one. No clue why I want one. I don't use matches.

I had to look those up. They are not super cheap in France either since the price is dirven by the antique market. You can grab an old one for 30-50 bucks but some of them cost more. The repos are about 35. Pretty cool but I probably dont need one.
