So I was at my local b/m yesterday to bring a pipe in for a repair and was looking at his tobacco selections. Now normally I do not buy tobacco there because of a Florida tax that puts tin prices all over 20 bucks. I saw this tin of Erinmore flake and I know it is an old blend so I figured what the hell, yeah it was 21 plus tax but I feel sorry for the owners there.
I brought it home, opened her up and boy did I get whiff of something I have never smelt before. It was fruity and sweet and very unique. The flakes were really short and very dark, moist but not as moist as Gawith products. I loaded up one of my Caminetto's and proceeded to puff away. This stuff tasted really nice,it has a unique fruity flavor and the tobacco burned beautifully. It never bit, stayed lit the entire bowl with no fussing and it was a damn satisfying smoke. Does anyone else like this and smoke it on a regular basis?
By the way, the guys has Penzance in 2 oz tins, but the price is over 20 bucks per.

I have a tin of the Erinmore mixture in my cellar. That might be one of the next tins that I crack open. I like aromatics since theyre a nice mild smoke, and I dont like anything real heavy in flavor in weather so damn hot.

Erinmore is an awesome all-day flake and I reuse the neat tin to carry other flakes in it ( they don't fare well in my roll-up pouch )

I never really got the fruity taste that a lot of people say they can taste, but I did find it to be a good smoke none the less. Definitely would recommend it.

I stopped by my local B&M yesterday to get fuel for my cigar lighter and saw a tin of this on the shelf. Probably a few bucks over priced but sounds like ill swing back by and pick up. I don't mind paying a little extra here and there to support my local guys.

I smoked another bowl of it yesterday and I do get the fruity taste in full. I used the fold and stuff in my Caminetto flake pipe and it smoked great. Looks like I will need to stock up on this.
