So I was at my local b/m yesterday to bring a pipe in for a repair and was looking at his tobacco selections. Now normally I do not buy tobacco there because of a Florida tax that puts tin prices all over 20 bucks. I saw this tin of Erinmore flake and I know it is an old blend so I figured what the hell, yeah it was 21 plus tax but I feel sorry for the owners there.
I brought it home, opened her up and boy did I get whiff of something I have never smelt before. It was fruity and sweet and very unique. The flakes were really short and very dark, moist but not as moist as Gawith products. I loaded up one of my Caminetto's and proceeded to puff away. This stuff tasted really nice,it has a unique fruity flavor and the tobacco burned beautifully. It never bit, stayed lit the entire bowl with no fussing and it was a damn satisfying smoke. Does anyone else like this and smoke it on a regular basis?
By the way, the guys has Penzance in 2 oz tins, but the price is over 20 bucks per.
