This pipe tobacco humidor from Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation is a special, limited-edition release that celebrates the brand's long-standing legacy and the Stokkebye family's tobacco heritage. On the outside, the lid is etched with Erik Stokkeybe 4th Generation and features a gorgeous painting of Erik's great grandfather's factory in Odense, Denmark, originally established in 1882. Inside, the humidor includes two glass jars handblown by aristan Jake Pfeiffer, as well as two limited tins of tobacco: 4th Generation's 1855 and 1882. Fashioned from rosewood, this humidor offers a beautiful and functional way to preserve one's pipe tobacco.

It's very nice but the price tag of $550 means It's a bit out of my price range. Think i'll have to stick to the Mason jars for the time being.

He really IS a nice guy. I only got to meet him once, but he gave my son a 5th generation hat and was very patient. I was very impressed.

I have a pic of that somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

But do your pesky mason jars have an delicately painted rendering of Erik's grandfather on them? I didn't think so.

No, no they do not. The Mason jars do me just fine. Take out what I need, put it on some paper to dry to my preferred moisture level and bobs your uncle.

It's a very nice looking humidor, though. If I was a millionaire then maybe i'd get one.

I would buy something tobacco related, just to have it around in my smoking room, but this thing... just seems to defy how tobacco should be treated or kept, IMO.
I don't think it's meant to be used for cellaring. My take is that it's for keeping your favourite blend at the perfect moisture level so it's always good to go. I suppose if you're really rich and time poor then it might appeal. Does look nice.

The perfect moisture level for smoking is almost completely dry. You’d need a dehumidifier for most tobacco.

That is a nice set. I keep 4 blends in large fancy glass jars for my rotation. And then just refill them from mylar when I need to. So im all about this life.

Hey, there is a strong market for obscenely priced Cuban cigars in Asia. A great many of these will very likely end up there. Irrational overpaying of nice, but certainly not the best products, in that market.
