Another good show.
Other books you might mention. The Ultimate Pipe Book, Pipe Smoking in the 21st Century and the Christmas Pipe by Richard Carleton Hacker. The Ultimate Pipe Book helped launch me into pipe smoking in the early 80's. To me a must for any new (or old) pipe smoker. I even have the video.
I'm also a big craft beer fan. I drink beer with almost every pipe I smoke. I'm more of a fan of the less hoppy Pale Ales and malty beers rather than the India Pale Ales (IPAs) but can honestly say that I rarely smoke a pipe and drink a beer where I say to myself... "These 2 really go together" There have been times when I felt a beer definitely did not go with a particular blend but not so much the other way around. I feel the same way with scotch and Irish Whiskey as well, I don't notice that these drinks enhance my smoking experience (until after I've had a few . Maybe it's just my palette, I've never been know to have a great one.Beer is my first choice of beverage when smoking a pipe.
As for coffee, I have one iced coffee every morning and never with a pipe. I don't know how they go together but I've hear a lot of people like the combo, especially with a cigar.
Same issue this episode with having a hard time hearing the interviewee on the phone without blasting the volume.
Not being a big forum guy, it is not extremely obvious where your "mailbag" is or where to post trivia answers.
If I ask a question here would this be considered a mail item? It would be helpful to have a heading added for each show the same way Episode # - Interviewee and a separate heading Episode # - Trivia Question and Answers.
Otherwise, let us know the best method (specifically).
Getting better... keep it going.
