An interesting combination- a 2005 tin of Blakeney's Best Acadian Ribbon we bought from Dick at Carmel Pipe Shop in Ca, smoked in a pipe hand signed by our friend Carlo Carlini when we visited him in Calabria last month...This was dry out of the tin, so I rehydrated with a damp paper towel for 6 hours. Citrus notes really emerged after that. Fired up a bowl- really a different flavor than I'm used to with the Virginia Periques...Quite nice- Glad I bought all three tins on the shelf. Just wish the artwork on the tin was better- don't know who thought that was a good design...
