Eep! Thing Found In Pool Skimmer

Went to clean out the skimmer basket on my pool today and in addition the usual fodder and insect corpses I found this thing (Sav 105 for size comparison):

Looks like a dragonfly

Fresh dragonfly, still has the fat tail.

Unfortunately amongst the usual bugs n leaves, I found a baby bird that didn't make it in mine this weekend.

I'm sure smoked bugs are a delicacy somewhere on the planet.
