@ nightmarejones Looking at the finish on that pipe I'm say at least its from the 1970's. Although its possible it could go back as far as the the 1950's or 1960's. Ive seen many Medico's and Yello Bole's with that finish. On a side note sometime later this year I'm gonna update the date range on some of my Medico's and Yello Bole's.....I was gifted some "dated" sales literature from a gentleman who was once a traveling salesperson for SM Frank & Co. during 1960's and 1970's.

I recently picked up an estate Edward's pipe. Its a straight Bulldog 716-m(if I remember correctly) and has the shield logo and "france" on the stem. I cannot find anything on this particular pipe shape or when it might have been made. It must have been a good smoker as it had alot of cake. I reamed it out, but not all the way. It did smoke quite well I must say. I need to post up some pictures.

atwageman, that is one impressive collection. Do you know if Edwards makes all of Peretti's pipe? I have a Peretti Straight Grain and I am wondering could it have been made by Edwards? I bought it off of Ebay years ago.

I really love the look of that virgin bowl in the last shot :puffpipe: It's a great shape and beautiful grain!

@cigarmaster
Not all of Peretti's house pipes are made by Edward's/FGT Enterprises. Looking at your pics, it is possible it's an Edward's. It's definitley not a private label Charatan second....it's too nice.
And thank you for your comments regarding my site. I've got about 8 Edward's that are not up yet. Also a few other gems.....Not sure if I'm gonna do it yet, but I may display the collection at Richmond or next year at the Raleigh show.
