I ordered a St. Paddy's Day Peterson from 4Noggins, and along with it came a couple of tobacco samplers, including, of all things, some Edward G. Robinson's.
Whoa! Instant deja vu! I must have smoked this blend sometime in my distant past, 'cause it brought up all sorts of memories - like riding the lounge car of the Empire State Express between Cleveland and New York, gathering in Washington Park in Greenwich Village to smoke a pipe between college classes.
This stuff is GOOD! It's totally unlike any other blend I've smoked recently - I don't know how to classify it. It seems to be mostly cavendish, maybe a little burley, maybe a tiny hint of Latakia. But really, really good. This might appeal to some cigar aficionados - it's certainly more cigar-like than some of the self-avowed "cigar leaf" blends I've tried. It did burn a bit hot for me, but then, I'm a pretty fast puffer.
Anyone else like this? I know that jiminks does, but I'd love to hear other opinions. This one definitely goes into my rotation (just what I need, ANOTHER tobacco!)
