Check Vermont Freehand's website. I believe they carry several colors of Fiebing's leather dye.

No need to look further. The guy who runs this operation has "customer service & satisfaction obsessive-complusive disorder", and seemingly endless energy. I guarantee you will be delighted if you deal with him:

Well all of the best pipe makers an restorers chimed in on this one. So its a no brainer. Fiebings at Vermont freehand it is. BUT! which do you prefer, already mixed or mix your self? More color options with mix yourself. Thank You Gentleman!!!!

Color chart for the Mozers dyes--

Those colors will look different on briar. I really like the Oak and Walnuts colors.
Steve Norse used to sell a 44 color stain kit--powders mixed with alcohol to make 2-4oz of each color. They were all I used ( and still use) until recently when I started buying some of the Feibings dyes.

Did you use the dye mix or Fiebings on the last pipe you made? The coloring on that pipe is great.
Dave,I used both. The shank was stained with the powder--bright yellow Golden Oak, the bowl was stained with Fiebing Med. Brown.

If y'all are wondering about that big ass button--that's the way the guy it was made for likes them !

@ejames- I have a similarly shaped/sized billiard as that one, and I almost didn't buy it because of the big-ass button. Oddly, it works wonderfully on that particular pipe. Wierd, huh?

chasingembers, that is one gorgeous pipe. I really like the blue color and I love the shaping on the stem. Did you make that or is it a refurbish?

One of my first. Made that one for my wife, and the only requirement she gave me was that it had to be blue. Went with USMC Black for the grain before applying the blue. Really an interesting color to work with.

The guy that pipe was made for is 79 years old and has been smoking a pipe for almost 60 years. I've made four pipes for him, all straight billiards with large buttons--and-- a slight bend in the stems. The stem in this pipe was bent after I took that picture. He says that the combination of the large button and the bend make it easier for him to clench with his dentures. He wants more pipes.
Before I quit doing refurbs he would send me pipes ( straight billiards) to have new acrylic stems fitted and slightly bent.
