I have recently acquired an estate pipe and so far haven't seen another like this one anywhere on the internet. But I have seen similar. The pipe has no date suffix, but I have been able to date it to around 1918-1927. It has 7 Dunhill's "Shell Briar" Pat. Nos 119708/17.5861/12. Any idea of the rarity or value of this pipe? It is in pretty good condition. Also, it doesn't have England or Made in England anywhere on it. Thanks!

Here's site that may help. It can be tricky dating the Dunhill pipes but this is pretty good.

Wonderful Dunhill Shell. 1920's era Dunhills are very collectible if they are in fine condition of which this is one. The stampings/nomenclature look to be perfect and crisp, the sandblast shell finish is craggy and deep, and the stem looks to have one of the old dots made from Ivory. I won't put a $ amount on the pipe but it does have considerable worth. Any collector would be proud to add this pipe to his collection. Congrats on a fine smoking pipe with much history.
