Dunhill

I have ran across a dunhill that needs repair has a few cracks from the top of the bowl down around the outside. I really hope I can get it fixed. Perhaps a band? I need suggestions and someone thats recommended for the job. I will try to post pictures.

I personally wouldn't touch a pipe with a cracked bowl no matter who made it.

geez mate i dont know there bud, prob with them outside cracks is as the bowl heats up the crack expands and releases again as it cools. Guess i just dont know how one would fix it properly or if one even could. Can patch it for sure but fix it, i dont think so

Fill the cracks and then band it? I just want it to smoke

I've heard of folks with cracked bowl Dunhills that smoke just fine. Marty Pulvers has one on his website now, and advertises he'll give a refund if it ever breaks. Of course, I guess success depends on the severity of the crack. You could try some "pipe mud" (ash/water) and see what happens?

If it has a nice long shank make a pipe tamper out of it and look for a better one !
