So I’ve seen several 92 Dunhills without date stampings and you basically have to guess by the blast what the era was. I noticed mine has a stamping on the stem. Was this typical? Does it mean 1962?

Stamping on the stem was definitely not typical, I don‘t think I’ve ever seen that before (I’m sure someone else has). But the fact that those stem stamps are as clear as they are tells me that this pipe has been really well taken care of, 2 seconds of careless buffing would wipe it out. For whatever it’s worth I think 1962 has to be right.

Lol. There was this and a 1933 dunhill, stanwell, Comoy, and a few other nice little pipes. I’m going to be sending this one to Humblepipe to restore.
@Humblepipe has got some killer chops. Very impressed with seeing what he did with some stuff I sent his way. Also, word on the street is he can fix hinges on antique pipe cases. @condorlover1 i haven’t found anyone else doing that, did you?
