Dunhill Lighter, Old. Can Anyone Put a Date to it?

Just received my grandfather's Dunhill lighter, 70 years after his death. So I am more than mildly interested in finding its probably date of manufacture. Could be pre-1900 based on his life.
It's standard-ish liquid fuel, silver, and quite small as you can see next to standard Corona Old Boy.
I may see if I can get it to work, but won't use it except on special occasions.

What are the markings on the bottom of the lighter?

If it has pat No on it maybe. i'm no expert in dunhill lighters in any sense, but i think they were wider then, Maybe 30's-40's, but whatever a keepsafe from your gramp, Priceless. A stunning lighter. they made them to the highest quality so you have a top end keepsake.?

it looks like a rollalite but in the picture here there is no space between the roller and the lid,there is on yours

From what I'm reading the Rollalite was patented in 1938.

That's Shillings (20 a Pound Sterling), but it's still a few bob!
