brother in law came over for the super bowl today, i don't know him very well because he just married my sister a few months ago. he sees my stack of books that were out because i took the pic for you guys. mentioned that he plays d&d with a few guys right around three corner from me and invited me to play. they smoke cigar while playing....
look like i have some converting to do.
Nice!
Undeniably, D&D is central in the world of fantasy. Many sweet dreams have started in sessions like these.
There is a very active role playing community out there online, via forums and chat. I've played in a few IRC campaigns in recent years and it can be a lot of fun.

Yeah, the Giants' series and Tsojcanth are classics. My players never got that high a level. Bart (aka Sondrax) was 9th, and that was with an ioun stone. He never died. They begged me to let them roll up high level characters and play Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, and they couldn't figure out how to open the front door. I worked for weeks preparing that module. I told 'em. Did they listen? No.
