I’m new to the forum, just an old redneck who has smoked mainly cobs and what I’ve learned are known as “codger blends”, so maybe the answer to my question is so widely known the asking just exposes my ignorance. Or maybe the tobacco sub-forum was the wrong place to ask. Or maybe no one knows the answer.

In the past year or so I started branching out and trying new (to me) blends, among them Villiger English and Jamaican. I found them both pleasant and enjoyable, something I can’t say about some of the more exotic stuff I’ve tried.

But when I went to re-supply, I found Villiger to be OOS everywhere.

I understand there have been some moves in corporate ownership of tobacco companies and some blends may disappear from the market.

Is Villager gone, at least here in the US?

I’d really like to know.

Villiger is a huge multinational company with its primary focus in cigars.
I have only had a few of their cigar offerings and have no knowledge of their pipe tobaccos

I can't imagine the kerfuffle with STG/MacBaren/Sutliff would have much impact on Villiger and their operations

Thanks. Their pipe tobacco is OOS all over, so I was wondering if it was gone, or removed from the US market. I see their cigars are still in stock.

Are you shopping at B&M's? (brick and mortar stores) If you're shopping at B&M's you may be able to find it on line.

Very small selection available in brick and mortar stores around here. I usually buy tobacco online, but all the online suppliers I use show Villiger OOS.

Villiger blends were made by Sutliff, so they are gone. The English was their Super Value English and the Jamaican was Barbados Plantation.

Did you find the sutliff branded stuff or villager branded? Since they're interchangeable, you can search for both labels. That probably already occurred to everyone in this thread but I had to type it.
I found Villiger, but looking for the originals too. The Villiger marked pouches are about half the cost of the original Sutliffs I’ve found.
