I suspect that the tobacco I purchased (bulk from a glass container) at my local tobacco shop is a bit wet, causing it to not stay lit. I've read that some folks on the forum let it dry opened. They also talk about aging it as well as drying it. What they don't mention is how long they let it dry/age out in the open.
I guess I should probably ask the question this way - what should the tobacco feel like when it has the proper amount of moisture?
And what is the shelf life of tobacco say, in a tin or a pouch? Weeks? Months? Years?
Thanks!
