I buy a lot of stuff on line. As a matter of fact, the UPS guy and I are on a first name basis. As I was with the previous driver...who retired almost two years ago.
Anyhow, a couple of years ago I ran across what you might call “an instructional” video on YouTube entitled “Drunken Christmas”. I thought it was funny because it was like a page out of my own life.
This college kid in the video suggested having a little wholesome fun by first setting a limit for yourself as to how much money you could spend and sitting down with a bottle of your favorite whiskey to get yourself “really, really happy“.
Then you log on to Amazon.com, or your favorite eStore, and order yourself a few things that you always wanted but never had to presence to buy for one reason or another.
A week or so later, quite to your surprise; up pulls the Brown Sleigh to present you with a few wonderful gifts you had always wanted!
All that’s only to say that I just discovered this morning, while digging though my emails, that there are two new pipes making their way to my house that I have little or no recollection ordering!
No, I wasn't drunk,…but for the last several days I have been pretty sick, at one point running a good fever,...apparently high enough that I got online and ordered a couple of new Peterson’s.
I’m waiting patiently for that Brown Sleigh.
