Dr. Grabow Estate Pipe Stem

I picked this up from that auction site for cheap. In the ad it looked like it had some decent grain without fills.

Of course, the lighting in the ad was better than real life, but the pipe arrived in pretty decent condition. I only see one very tiny fill. I did think that the stem looked a little too straight for a bent pipe. I had noticed that in the original ad.

I spent some time deoxidizing the stem and I also put some more bend in it. Does it look like I have the bend about right? I think it is about right, but would like to know how other eyes see it. Here are some pics from the ad and how it looks now.

Stem looks good. I dont think lve ever seen a Grabow without a fill. My Royalton has one and my old Grand Duke has a few.

That was what interested me in this pipe. The one fill it does have is so small they probably could have left it alone.

Great job cleaning it up and the bend looks great. Once you smoke it you can always rebend it if it doesn't feel just right.
