Lawl @ the description from the seller.
Vintage, lightly smoked estate asbestos pipe. Stamped Real Asbestos Patent no. 19963. Band is stamped EP WKC (I think). I never knew they even made asbestos pipes (instant lung cancer) From the 50s or earlier.. The patent date is 1858, which predates the American Civil War. I have seen a few vintage ads for these pipes which looked like cigars . This is the only actual one I have seen, although I have sold several thousand vintage pipes . The pipe is just over 6 inches long from bottom of bowl to end of bit. Bowl chamber diameter is just over 3/4 inch and bowl depth is just under 1 5/8 inch. Light caking in bowl. Negligible tooth wear on end of bit. Metal is slightly tarnished with age. Normal wear and tear (dings, oxidation and scratches) for an estate pipe. Nice overall shape and condition. Note - sold for display only
