I know what you may be thinking.. no dummy it doesn't.

But the few times I've tried alternative forms of tobacco like snus or nicorette gum, it has given off a very recognizable spicy note. It could also be described as tingly depending on how you think about flavors.

However, in smoked forms of tobacco, I don't ever notice this tingle, although I'm sure the burning is responsible for covering up a lot.

I wouldn't think so. I guess you could get pure nicotine somewhere and try it out but I wouldn't recommend it. Nicotine in high concentrations is deadly. Makes an incredible organic pesticide.

Great question and one that has been in the back of my mind. I would expect it to be bitter as an alkaloid, but with perhaps hundreds of other chemicals at play (evidenced by the cornucopia of flavors available from tobacco in all its forms), I would expect it to be masked most of the time.

Yeah, I would too. I don’t expect that I taste much of the caffeine in coffee, for the same reasons. ?‍♂️
