Aging well. I imagine that, as always, many factors will be determinant, so that this degradation advances faster or slower. But honestly, I don't think it will be better when it reaches a critical age. Fortunately my tobacco is relatively young. My few tins of veermaster hamborger, I don't think they are more than 6 years old. In any case, I hope they keep well, and you can enjoy them for a long time.

Mac Baren Flake and HH Pure Virginia can be (or used to be) purchased in 1 lb boxes. I believe GLP Union Square can be purchased in 8 oz tins. With that said, I wouldn't consider sacrificing the quality of the tobacco and my enjoyment of it for the sake of buying it in bulk and saving a few dollars. Pipe tobacco is dirt cheap even at today's prices. I don't even want to consider smoking a bowl of crap tobacco 5 to 10 years down the road and thinking "Oh, it's okay I'm not enjoying it, I save 8 cents per bowl when I purchased it."
True. Sir John’s it is then?
