Does anyone make food saver compatible mylar bags?

You can also use a strip of a food saver bag on top of a standard Mylar to trigger the vacuum function. Not saying it’s better, just an option if you have a bunch of Mylar lying around

FYI - The 8"x12" 2 quart bags will hold 4x regular round tins, 2x C&D/Pease type tins, or 1 500g GH&C box, without having difficulties getting enough of the bag in the food saver to seal.

An additional thought on the oxy absorbers: They seem to be not required whatsoever but they do reduce the size after bagging/sealing and makes for a little more ease in storing in plastic totes/boxes/whatever.

Just for those that are curious: Here's what $65 gets you: A bx delivered with 100 8'x12" 5mil bags and 100 500cc oxy absorbers: The bags can be written on nicely with a sharpie and it doesn't smear when dry (only takes a couple seconds to dry) and I use the sealer on my 15 year old...

The preformed are just a matter of convenience but the rolls will allow more qty/size control.
Thanks for the info, I'll be sealing bulk tobacco not tins though. I only seal square tins to prevent premature popping, and for that I've found regular food saver bags to be sufficient to keep pressure on the tin lid.
