Question- does the alcohol used in some blends get absorbed and metabolized when smoking? I completely abstain from alcohol as a personal choice.

My searches have so far turned up empty handed. Lots of info on cleaning pipes with alcohol, but not answering this question.

Every few years you hear about people vap’ing booze or other methods. If I smoke a boozy blend like Crosseyed Cricket will I be consuming ethanol?

Alcohol evaporates at very low temperatures (74C). I don't know the temperature which is reached in the process of lighting up a pipe, but I am sure it is much higher than that. Besides, alcohol evaporates rather easily even in ambient temperatures (try to rub some in your skin), I doubt there is much of it in packed tobacco after it has been added to it, and I doubt much of it is even used when conditioning tobacco. I wouldn´t worry about that

Great info, thanks. I’ve never felt the effects of alcohol from smoking, but thought I’d try to find more info.
